VP of Operations Harriett Huntley to retire

After 20 years of dedicated and distinguished service, Taylor Research’s Vice President of Operations, Harriett Huntley, will retire effective March 28, 2008.

During her career at Taylor, Harriett has been an integral contributor to the success of the company. She served our industry on both chapter and national levels. During her tenure, Harriett held many key positions, including San Diego AMA Secretary (1990), Southern California MRA President (2001-2002), Southern California MRA Director at Large (1998-2001), and received the prestigious MRA Chapter Award (1995).

Harriett’s immediate plans are to spend more time with her family and do some traveling. While all of us at Taylor Research are happy for Harriett and this new chapter in her life, her ability and enthusiasm will be greatly missed.

Bessy Rivas and Joanna Brock are welcome recent additions at Taylor Research.

Taylor Research named Top-Rated Facility by Impulse Survey for seventh consecutive year.

Taylor Research was recently named as one of the top-rated market research/focus group facilities in the world in the 2007 edition of Impulse Survey of Focus Facilities. Taylor Research was first awarded this honor in 2001, and has been every year since.

Impulse Survey of Focus Facilities is published by Impulse Research Corporation, Los Angeles, California, and is the premier publication in ranking focus group discussion and viewing facilities throughout the world, based on a survey of over 5,000 moderators and researchers worldwide.

Facilities are rated on the quality of a wide variety of criteria, using a scoring scale from 1 to 99. These include recruiting; staff personal and the services they provide; the physical facility, including conference and viewing rooms; location; food service; and value. An overall score, which is a weighted average of the ratings for all criteria, is then determined. To be awarded a "Top-Rated" distinction, the facility must have received an overall rating of "Excellent" (80 points or greater) by moderators and researchers worldwide.

Two Taylor Research staffers earn coveted PRC certification

Ben Sheck and Kimberly Keller have earned the prestigious PRC (Professional Researcher Certification).

Ben Sheck, Medical and Field Director, and Kimberly Keller, Project Manager, were awarded PRC certification by the Marketing Research Association, signifying that they have met a stringent set of criteria and possess the knowledge and practical experience in marketing research necessary to earn this esteemed credential.

The Professional Researcher Certification was developed as a powerful professional tool for researchers of all levels of work experience and education. It is the goal of MRA to encourage high standards within the profession in order to raise competency, establish an objective measure of an individual’s knowledge and proficiency and to encourage continued professional development.

Taylor Research Remodels

At Taylor Research, we are constantly striving to make our services and facility the finest available. Our commitment to you, our client, is to make your experience here at Taylor as rewarding, efficient and productive as possible. To help us meet that commitment, we made the decision some time ago to re-design and remodel our San Diego facility.

We looked at all the ways in which our clients would be better served by this remodeling. First, and foremost, the remodeling provides an exciting, fresh, colorful and yet very professional environment. We believe this makes Taylor Research a facility that enables the highest level of service and productivity to flourish. Because Taylor Research is a growing, technologically advanced organization, we wanted our facility to match that level of capability, expertise, quality, and client services.

Our expanded lobby area is spacious and inviting, and enables us to immediately make our clients and respondents comfortable, allowing us to better facilitate the tasks for that day. Our new audio and video room and equipment are state-of-the-art. We are now able to meet even the most demanding requirements quickly and easily, all in-house.
